A Colorado native, Sara Giita Flores is a musician, author, teacher, and motivational speaker who inspires. As an acoustic singer/songwriter, Sara Giita’s music chronicles her journey from an assault survivor to an empowered diva. Her clear, shimmering voice breathes life into her message of personal transformation and self-love. She began as a perfection-seeking classical musician, until two very quirky international concert tours as a backup singer revealed her life’s purpose. Sara Giita the singer-songwriter was born. In 2009, she poured her soul into her debut album, Take the Leap.
Nowadays, this unstoppable goddess of song is spreading hope and healing through multiple creative channels: live music performances, the Sunlight for Survivors blog and video series, and professional speaking. She takes her creative voice onto conference stages, non-profit meeting rooms, yoga studios, and any place where audiences are ready to experience more joy and nourishment through practical exercises and inspiring music.

Niya was voted one of the "Women in Rock" in the local New Orleans paper while still just a Catholic high school girl by day and a "Rock Star" by night. Sensory friendly concerts are specifically designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities and developmental disabilities, including those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. We turn the lights up and the sound down so individuals and their families can move around, dance, and sing along in a fun, judgement free environment.
Sensory Friendly events are designed to be an inclusive and welcoming experience for individuals impacted by intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their family and friends.
These events, while geared toward some of the unique needs of individuals with I/DD, will make our cultural events and experiences more welcoming for all. We welcome individuals of all ages and abilities at this performance.

Raise Up Your Eyes in an evening of multi-instrumental performance and community engagement that investigates how to heal personal and global conflict through bearing witness to issues of feminine power, racial and religious oppression, war and ancestry. Hailing from the rural hills of Vermont, Back brings her Avant-Folk, Live-Looping multi-instrumentalism and years of vocal and violin training to engage communities in dialogues of darkness and transformation through a series of songs and reflections from her debut album Little World (released May 24th 2018). Little World “soars on the strength of Back’s stunning vocals, sparse and compelling instrumentation, poetic lyrics and a captivating sound that conjures such singular artists as Andrew Bird, Rhiannon Giddens and Tori Amos while standing tall on its own unique merits.” (Tom Huntington, The Times Argus).

ASTER Women's Chamber Choir will be performing a new work by Sara Giita Flores, titled "Untapped Peace." The concert is titled For War and Peace, and includes new works from Alex Craig as well as classics such as Schubert's 23rd Psalm.
