Hone your musical instincts and artistic voice
I offer one-on-one piano and voice lessons worldwide via Skype or Zoom and have learned how to facilitate a powerful experience even over video.
Additionally, I offer in-person lessons in the northern Denver Metro area (Colorado, USA).
Hi, I’m Sara.
I’ve been helping piano and voice students find greater fulfillment, joy, and empowerment through music for more than 15 years.
In addition to having studied piano for 17 years and completing a music degree in Vocal Performance, I bring in diverse training I have received in the Alexander Technique, yoga, and trauma-informed life coaching.
I am passionate about mentoring students to confidently express themselves and reach their full potential.
Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced musician wishing to hone your technique and musical knowledge, I would love to get to know you and see if working together would be a good fit.
Using games, storytelling, and engaging songs, I make lessons fun for children ages seven and up. I also have experience working with kids with special needs, including cerebral palsy, ADHD, and autism spectrum kids.
To create community and give students performing experience, I also host recitals and group classes once or twice a year.
I am one of those people who actually gets excited about working with teens! I love being a trusted witness and guide for young adults as they hone their creative passions. I help students build both self-discipline and self-compassion by developing practice habits and working towards goals. Once they have built enough skill, I support students in choosing songs that they love to play.
I also offer performance opportunities for teens and can give specific music business support to teens who are wishing to start booking and playing their own gigs.
Adult students often come to me wanting to find more joy, to build new neural pathways, and to fulfill long-held desires of being able to play with ease. I center lessons around each student’s individual needs and goals to support the blossoming of their musical voices.
In addition to helping many beginners, I also have experience teaching students who are already gigging regularly and need help filling in some gaps with musical theory, reading music, songwriting, or playing and singing at the same time.
I can support students with learning classical, pop, rock, indie, acoustic, R&B, Broadway and film, and beginning jazz piano.
