When fellow author Maria Blon described the wisdom of my book as “gentle and empowering,” I paused to think about this word:
g e n t l e .
There was a time in my life when I would have balked at my work being called “gentle” because I was mired in the cultural myth that gentleness=weakness.
I had subscribed to the millennia-old denigration of feminine power, and by this, I'm not just talking about gender. I'm referring to the feminine energy that exists in ALL people, in perfect unique balance with the masculine energy that also exists in everyone. It has parallels to the concept of “yin” which is depicted in the yin-yang symbol.
That feminine energy has been misunderstood, maligned, and distrusted for too long. At times it is gentle, and at times it is ferocious.
Throughout my journey of reclaiming my feminine side, my wholeness, and my wisdom, I discovered something unexpected:
Gentleness is the birthplace of power.
When we are willing to slow down, listen intuitively, and be in the non-aggressive mindset of allowing whatever wants to be birthed through us,
magic is rekindled.
Trust blossoms.
Our Goddess Voice, our unique upwelling of divinely-inspired self-expression, starts to emerge.
At first, it may sound like a tender whisper.
I have seen in my clients that with the right practices, encouragement, and willingness to visit the edges of your comfort zone,
that whisper can grow into a mighty roar.
And now, more than ever, WE NEED YOUR ROAR!
That's why I wrote a whole book to help you let it free, even if you have already empowered yourself in many ways.

I will leave you with the original quote from author Maria Blon:
Here's to your sacred empowerment and liberation!
